When we aren't snapping photos or editing, we are usually painting, building furniture, heading up the road to Ikea, checking out our local thrift shops, and planting... lots of planting... all in the name of our cute little bungalow!

Did we mention how much we love our house... Well we do.

I (Jordan) have always had a thing for decorating. When I say "always" I'm talking back to the age of at least nine. It's just built in to me. And luckily I found a man that is pretty dang handy with a power tool!

We get a lot of emails about our home because it has been featured on YOUNG HOUSE LOVE and on THE NATE BERKUS SHOW. So... I thought I would do a little FAQ on the house to answer most of the most common questions we get!

Here we go...

What are the names of the paint colors in your home?

Well... we aren't that organized... I wish I knew! We used a bunch of different shades of gray by Valspar... I can tell you that much! Some are actually random mixes from what we already had.

Where do you shop for your home?

A bunch of different places. Most of our furniture has been thrifted or Craigslisted! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE Home Goods - If I had to pick one store for my house this is it! It's probably one of my favorite places ever. We also really love Ikea for things like frames, throws, and rugs. We have purchased every light fixture in the house as well as our wood countertops from Ikea.

How do you like your Ikea wood countertops? Easy to take care of? Stains?

We LOVE them! They do stain easily, especially when you leave a can sitting on the counter (there is some sort of reaction that goes on with the metal and water, which creates a dark ring in the wood) BUT... it just sands out! We oil them with Olive oil every so often to spruce them up, and they really look the same as they did the day we installed them! We really can't complain!
